We analyse the impact of technology on society and advance digital rights as an enabler for improved livelihoods, good governance and the exercise of human rights, with a major focus on addressing information asymmetry between industry and policy makers and promoting inclusion of marginalized groups including women, youth and the indigent. Our work is supported by the following levers:Research, Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building.
Through our research and advocacy efforts we aim to create sustainable impact by supporting regulators and policy makers to develop policies, laws, regulations and processes that result in a more inclusive digital ecosystem. Fundamentally, we encourage innovative approaches to policy making, provision of affordable technology,consumer rights protection and digital literacy.
We seek to support academia, policymakers and Industry across the region with an interest in the digital economy by providing a platform for knowledge sharing. We will actively seek and invite collaboration with other research centers and think tanks within and outside the region.
We facilitate capacity building of various players in the digital economy including academia, industry, policy makers and regulators.
